The Boeing Company is looking for a Product Data Management (PDM) Engineer to join the team in Houston, TX.
Position Responsibilities:

- Participates in the development and management, and performs limited analysis of process and product baselines.
- Works under general direction to coordinate and conduct product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.
- Performs routine analysis of product trades and/or changes and assists in the development of change proposals.
- Participates in the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools.
- Utilizes data gathered from customers to assist in the definition of Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems.
- Assists in the integration, routine analysis and resolution of issues with engineering product structure.
- Assists with the development and implementation of engineering technical program plans of limited scope including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned.
- Works under general supervision.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years’ experience in performing Configuration Verification and Configuration Status Accounting activities including reconciliation between the as-designed and as-built hardware and or software
- Experience with Functional and Physical configuration audits (FCA/PCA).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
Typical Education:
Experienced (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
