Who We Are:

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is the state agency that empowers Ohioans with disabilities through employment, disability determinations, and independence. It is accomplished through its Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) and Division of Disability Determination (DDD). A fourth area is the Division of Employer and Innovation Services (EIS), which is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with employers.

What We Do:

OOD works with partners in businesses, education, and non-profit organizations to facilitate customized employment plans for Ohioans with disabilities; helps Ohio companies recruit and retain employees with disabilities; and is the sole agency determining medical and vocational Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs in Ohio. What does a Facilities Planning Project Manager do?

At OOD, a Facilities Planning Project Manager oversees facility projects often related to workspace changes, travels statewide to current office locations & previews possible future locations, directs work of subordinates, schedules & attends meetings with internal and external partners, manages the agency security system, assists with fleet management, provides recommendations to supervisor and writes reports, coordinates with vendors and other agency divisions to complete projects, helps track and maintain department budget & agency lease files, orders supplies & pays invoices as needed. Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate major core program in industrial, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering, or architecture, industrial design or related field; 12 mos. exp. in interior space design & facilities planning & design; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public budgeting & spending.

-Or 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in interior space design & facilities planning & design; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public budgeting & spending.

-Or 12 mos. exp. as Facilities Planner, 63281.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
