What You Will Do:

Lead the development of project scopes

Prepare the Project Initiation Package and input into SAFe system

Develop the preliminary project schedule

Coordinate with subject matter experts, asset manager or other internal and external stakeholders

Plan, organize and conduct project meetings and/or field visits

Identify project challenges

Document decision making process for projects as they are developed through the planning phase

Review project plans

Who we are looking for:

The State is seeking someone with knowledge about the transportation system and/or urban planning background who is conscientious, well organized, self-directed, detail oriented, and an adaptable problem solver. The candidate should have a good understanding of transportation principles, construction project standards, and the ODOT project development process. The candidate should also have a transportation background, proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and contract documents, and be familiar with ODOT policies and standards, as well as AASHTO and other published guidance documents. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting and building relationships with various project stakeholders.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
