The following benefits will be available on an annual basis: • University System of Maryland Tuition Remission program. • Five (5) days of annual leave • Some Holidays • Three (3) days of sick leave • May participate in the State Health Insurance programs (medical, prescription and/or dental, etc.) that are available to State employees. Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a contractual full-time position working 50% with Assistant Athletics Director for Budget and Finance and 50% in Associate Athletics Director for Compliance. This position is an entry level position that will provide day to day support in both areas. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain a high degree of experience in both areas. This position will have an hourly rate $13.25 and includes a limited benefits package.
FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.
Responsibilities: Assist the Assistant Athletics Director for Budget and Finance and the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance with day-to-day operational objectives.
Business Duties:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Athletic Directors’ office, exercising confidentiality.
- Oversees reception area. Answer phones, greet and direct visitors to appropriate areas and persons.
- Serve as business office liaison for athletics with university wide business areas by processing of forms for payments reimbursements, purchase orders, disbursements, travel, and business expenses.
- Serves as coordinator for coach bus and van transportation for athletic teams. Schedule and confirm transportation with an extremely high level of detail.
- Assists with on-site game day gate operations. Required for home football games, basketball games, and championship events.Utilize electronic and cash ticketing platforms, supervise student-workers, manage will call and complimentary pass lists.
- Manage game contracts, rosters, and databases as assigned.
- Utilize PeopleSoft Financials/Workday to run financial reports.
Compliance Duties:
- Monitoring student-athlete eligibility using ARMS Compliance Software, Peoplesoft/Workday, and Navigate Academics.
- Upload and process documents and workflows in ARMS.
- Review and maintain student-athlete files to ensure compliance with State of Maryland, University System of Maryland, Frostburg State University, NCAA, and Conference Affiliation rules.
- Assisting with monitoring of coaches’ recruiting logs and visits. Audit phone logs and contact/evaluation logs using industry best practices.
- Develop and present rules education materials as assigned.
General Duties:
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communications skills and the ability to follow-up with coaches and staff to meet operation goals.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to perform computer functions, including managing databases, creating, analyzing, integrating, and importing linked spreadsheets, mail, and table merges.
- Ability to prepare, review, copy, proof and file a variety of emails, correspondences, transmittals, reports, forms, and documents.
- Update and maintain department publications, staff directories, and other documents as assigned.
- Other duties relating to operating and supporting the Athletic Department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Ability to innovate, stay organized, and interact with college students in a professional manner. Strong desire to learn.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or one year of related work experience. Advanced advising skills.
