About Cognizant’s Digital Engineering Practice:
At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Java Full Stack Lead Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical oversight on critical Project
- Be hands on, building and Supporting API’s for corporate systems
- Collaborates with stake holder, product owner, engineers both internal and external
- Provides technical thought leadership to the client
- Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.
- Responsibilities include attending stand ups, API development, participating in refinement and planning meetings, deploying to AWS environments, and production support
- Delivering superior engineering outcomes
- Participates in talent acquisition and interviewing activities when required
- Point of escalation for software engineers
- Honing individual engineering competency
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Software Engineering
- A strong handle on software design patterns and writing clean code within a Micro Services environment
- Hands on experience with Java/Spring Boot. Prefer Java 11+, Java 8 minimum.
- Extensive experience with AWS, including Elastic Beanstalk , Elastic Kubernetes Services, Elastic Container Services, Fargate, S3, Cloudfront, Lambda, SQS, and SNS
- Experience with devops, including CI/CD tools such as Github Actions or Jenkins
- Experience with infrastructure as Cloud (IAC), specifically with CloudFormation
- Basic python skills and shell scripting skills are good to have
- Solution architecture experience huge plus.

Salary and Other Compensation :
The annual salary for this position is between $94k – 143K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
