SUMMARY: Assigns work, inspects results. Participates in the evaluation of a crew. Maintains custodial inventories and supplies. Cleans assigned area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way to obtain these would be:
- High School diploma.
- Two years of custodial experience, supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Alaska drivers license required.
Knowledge of:
- Work direction and review.
- Methods and equipment of custodial work.
- Simple record keeping.
Ability to:
- Assign and review the work of others.
- Perform heavy physical labor.
- Work assigned shift including nights.
- Perform minor maintenance.
- Clean assigned areas within prescribed times.
Compensation: This is a full time 12-month position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a starting salary of $23.33 per hour plus shift differential. We offer an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) plan, and paid time off.
Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant’s expense and fingerprints forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a records check.
