Sr. Java FSE (On Site)
Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Java FSE with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Responsibilities
• Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment
• Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka)
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills.
Qualifications
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices and development of cloud native applications in AWS
• Experience in Aurora PostgresSQL, Kafka, MSK, SQS, Distributed Systems
• Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively
• Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving
• Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $99,000.00 – 130,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
