Description of Duties:
The HW Maintenance Contract Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The Maintenance Contracts Manager is responsible for managing a mix of both hardware and software maintenance contracts valued at over $10 million, including approximately (number) of maintenance contract agreements. The Maintenance Contracts Manager, in coordination and collaboration with other business functions, is responsible for the carrying out following responsibilities:
Hardware:
The candidate will:
- Manages maintenance records and databases containing information regarding IT equipment warranties and service agreements, to include the reconciliation of assets tracked as property and those listed in support agreements
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to document hardware maintenance costs and track equipment changes to manage the currency of support contracts
- Maintain accuracy of contract support for assets using contract-approved True-Up actions, as applicable
- Coordinate funding requirements to ensure that sufficient funding is in place to support renewals, and that no mission critical maintenance requirements lapse in coverage
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement actions for all contract changes and renewals
- Serve as the liaison with vendor companies to maintain a strong relationship which is responsive to the needs of the customer organization
- Plan and schedule contract business review meetings with vendors and various stakeholders as required
- Seek out opportunities to minimize organizational costs through contract standardization, consolidation and co-terming
- Make change recommendations to management when needed
- Execute corrective measures to address warranty/maintenance performance issues
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to document hardware maintenance costs and track equipment changes to manage the currency of support contracts
- Maintain accuracy of contract support for assets using contract-approved True-Up actions, as applicable
Software:
- Manage and ensure software maintenance and subscription renewals are identified, consolidated, budgeted, and procured to support end users and enterprise software identified in applicable MDA Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement actions for all contract changes and renewals
- Coordinate funding requirements to ensure that sufficient funding is in place to support renewals, and that no mission critical software license and maintenance requirements lapse in coverage
- Utilize reports from System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and related network discovery tools to identify and document software installation records, reconciling actual installations against documented license entitlements
- Coordinate with asset managers, project managers, related tasking orders, and/or other points of contacts within each MDA organizational element to identify software requirements for annual renewal
- Coordinate with manufacturers and resellers to determine subscription, support, and/or reinstatement fees for each license
- Compile each software renewal into single request, per product, co-terms support to a common end date, and coordinates estimate with vendor
- Input procurement requests and provide all necessary supporting documentation
- Create reports on historical, ongoing, and forecasted renewals
- Report progress, issues, and concerns on all assigned duties.

This position will be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO
This position is expected to pay $89,300 – $114,300 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 6 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 0 years of general experience
- Must have 4 years of directly related experience in either Software Asset Management, IT Operations, and/or IT Contract Management
- Must have knowledge of IT support requirements, techniques and applications to manage an inventory of technology-related assets
- Must have, or obtain, a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Have knowledge of IRES contract and organizational layout
- Have an ITIL Foundations (v3) Certification or higher
- Have project management experience
- Have technical writing experience
- Have knowledge of capacity planning and metrics
- Have experience with Microsoft SharePoint
