Our six-week, paid summer internship program offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment, with the opportunity to address real-time and future business needs. Additionally, the program includes industry seminars, one-on-one mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities with senior leadership and peers.
The Exclusive Brands – Apparel Technical Design Intern will learn about the technical design process from inception through production and collaborate with the technical design team on the creation of garments that fit & are constructed consistently across all brands. Additionally, they will support the organization of the department via fit schedules, prepping incoming samples & participation in live fit sessions.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use discipline specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations, and business improvement opportunities.
- Lead department/function specific project from start to finish and present project deliverable(s) to senior leadership for consideration.
- Note: Function-specific responsibilities will be outlined during the interview process.
Additional Responsibilities
- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
- Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
- Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
- Adheres to local, state and federal laws
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management
- Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited university/college
- 1-2 years of work or volunteer experience
- Passion for fashion and retail industry
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong desire for continuous learning and professional development
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to balance multiple assignments at once
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Internship Guidelines
- This is a paid ($15.50/hr) summer internship from June 19 – July 28.
- Boot Barn does not offer travel or housing stipends.
- Students must be able to make a commitment of full-time employment (Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5PM)
- The program will be based out of our Irvine Store Support Center, located in Irvine, CA. Remote work will not be offered.

PAY RANGE: $15.50/hour
