Overview
Opportunity to work for the industry leading customer credit department for a top 20 Bank, with advancement opportunities both in the department and other functional areas of CIT and First Citizens Bank. This position will lead the closing, booking and funding process for all REF Loans. You will also manage, coach and develop Closers to ensure teammates are delivering a positive client experience while maintaining required controls.

- Lead the closing, booking and funding process for all REF Loans
- Manage, coach and develop Closers to ensure teammates are delivering a positive client experience while maintaining required controls
- Works closely with the Closers to effectively communicate closing conditions to the RMs/Clients and oversees the review of legal documents to ensure documentation complies with the Bank’s Policy & Procedures and accurately reflects the transaction details for assigned portfolio
- Interacts closely with UW’s/PM’s and Team Leaders to ensure a smooth hand-off between the teams and resolves any issues or challenges
- Acts as a peer to the Sales, UW and PM Team Leaders in the delivery of the Credit Products
- Understands and ensures that all appropriate Compliance Requirements are met (Flood Rules, KYC, BSA, CIP, OFAC, Credit Approval, DAP, Credit Files, SOX and Internal Audit)
- Assist in training new hires
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is $140,000 – $160,000. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 years experience in managing commercial loan closing teams
Other Qualifications:
- LIQ or similar systems knowledge
- Strong legal document comprehension and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of Real Estate Lending Products
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal and people development skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints
