The Senior Manager, Nickelodeon Content Finance, will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and forecasting of Nick content investment across all platforms/segments [Streaming, Linear, and 3rd Party]. The role will manage the detailed process of building and maintaining the Nick LRP programming slate for the annual budget, long range plans and monthly forecasts. The Senior Manager role will regularly provide both high level & detailed causes of change to leadership. This position supports Nickelodeon Group (Filmed Ent) including indirect support to TVM segment and reports to the Nickelodeon Studio Director, Content Finance/ Sr. Director, Content Finance.
This role is hybrid and based in NYC.
Overview and Responsibilities
- Provide monthly variance analysis compared to the latest estimate, Budget and prior year of programming expense. Communicate outlook results with detailed explanations.
- Maintain the Programming LRP (Long Range Plan) for all segments
- Meticulously keep track of all Nickelodeon content changes and understand downstream impact.
- Accurately input information into the programming model to facilitate the calculation of amortization expense (Gross Production Cost, Air dates). Changes are driven by the business.
- Manage all cost allocations by show and by asset with nuances (Filmed Ent segment, Linear network segment, Intl, Paramount+).
- Manage different amortization start dates and amortization methods depending on genre, segment, and property.
- Calculate impact of programming useful life extensions to ensure accurate forecast.
- Manage the Annual Budget and Monthly Estimate cycle relating to Original Programming and non-amortized programming.
- Review and sign off on Controller’s Group Programming Asset and Liability quarterly schedules.
- Collaborate with Controllers Group and Residual team to review quarterly forecasts.
- Partner with Production Finance on Show Estimate Final Costs true ups. Calculate and communicate financial impacts.
- Review pacing for non-amortized expense with the programming teams, including variances between actuals and forecast.
- Review Selling, General and Administration related HQ expense pacing in total and at a cost center level.
- Project setup and approval for Non-Amortized and Original Programming including cycle reclasses.
- Ensure compliance with Paramount Global accounting policies/procedures, GAAP, and SOX requirements.
- Field internal and external audit requests as necessary.
- Coordinate with international programing counterpart
- Consistently communicate the latest international co financing contribution and planned useful life extensions.
- Create and submit co financing cost transfer journal entries.
- Create ad hoc reporting as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 7+ years relevant work experience, preferably in Media

- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to be thorough and meticulous with detail
- Be able to handle voluminous amounts of changes crossing genres and segments coming from multiple sources
- Strong communication skills (oral, written & listening)
- Experience in Longview and/or SAP a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $98,400.00 – 130,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
