In this critical support role on our Development Team, our Assistant Project Managers impact all aspects of logistics, from the planning and preparation stage, to tracking and communicating key milestones to the team while handling key tasks that take our projects from vision to implementation. You will also experience growth as a self-leader, partnering closely with either our Development Project Manager or our Land Planning & Entitlements Manger while making independent decisions that are aligned with the approved scope, schedule, and budget of each project.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Project Management and Support: Provides proactive support for real estate projects contributing to the timely and cost-effective completion of projects and achievement of the company’s strategic and business plan goals.
- Information and Communication Management: Leads the Development Team in achieving efficient and effective communication, with easily accessible resources to document project status (scope, schedule, budget) and outstanding action items, for both internal and external team members.
- Contract Administration: Leads the administration of contracts, change orders, certificates of insurance and related contractual documentation for development, commercial and residential building development to ensure timely execution of contracts and contribute to the ability to complete a successful development project on time and within budget.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-3 years related experience in multi-family development projects and/or construction.
- Experience in project management in development and/or construction.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skill set – both with internal team members and consultants/contractors.
- Strong use of technology in the day to day, including the use of Office 365 programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Our Compensation Philosophy
Fenton’s goal is to ensure performance-based compensation that is motivating and competitive – and we adopt a pay-for-performance approach. To support this goal, we obtain annual market data for each role from similar organizations in the applicable market to ensure we are paying based on current market information.
The total compensation range for the Assistant Project Manager position is $75,000 – $106,000 (base plus bonus) per year and the starting salary will be based on your skill set and competencies in the role.
The above includes an annual base salary, which will grow as you develop further skill sets and competencies in the role, and an annual performance bonus, which will be designed by you and your leader to ensure we’re incentivizing the results that matter most in the current year.
