Position Summary:
The Biologics Sales Specialist will be responsible for sales of Biologics products (Maurice and MFI), consumables and service in the Southern California region. The territory includes Southern California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii. Our ideal candidate will be located in Southern California, preferable San Diego.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- High value capital equipment sales experience, or equivalent
- Highly motivated, independent, and a strong desire to succeed
- Sales to Biopharma/Pharma or Biotech markets
- Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time and territory management skills
- Ability to speak with customers on a technical level
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem solving
- Proficient in listening, understanding and questioning; ability to translate that information to a value proposition for the customer
- Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com a requirement.
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence; a self-starter
- Must be able to perform and succeed in a team environment
- Passionate about Science and Technology
- Committed to providing a superior customer experience
- Can do attitude is a must!
- Demonstrable sales training experience – Miller-Heimen, Sandler, Solution Selling, etc.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science field required (Chemistry/Biochemistry/etc.)
- Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a Scientific Field or MBA is an advantage
- 5-7 years proven sales experience in the life science tools space
- Demonstrated record of Sales Success in past positions
