Miyake Forging North America is hiring a Quality Gate Operator for 2nd shift. The Quality Gate Operator loads, monitors, operates and documents the production of an inspection machine.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loads the proper materials into the machine for the production.
- Ensures material feeds are clear and working properly.
- Perform pre-setup correctly.
- Perform change over correctly.
- Mount attachments and molds into production equipment
- Inspect equipment, structures and material.
- Handing and moving objects (Forklift, Walkie)
- Monitors the machine to ensure proper production.
- Unloads finished parts and stages them for travel to the shipping area.
- Makes control adjustments to ensure proper production settings.
- Document results of the daily production in the production control database.
- Conduct 4S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, and Standardize) function of own process.
- Ensure work is performed from current blueprints and drawing.
- Organize and control inventory of own Tooling and Consumable items.
- Sort non-conforming parts as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task a must
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees.
- Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner
- Evaluating information, processing of information, problem -solving, and decision making
- Calculate dimensions of parts
- Ability to bend over periodically.
- Ability to lift approximately 30-40lbs or less.
Education/ Experience:
- A minimum of a high school or equivalency certificate required.
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Forklift experience a plus.
