Who We Are

We are Friends From The City, a design and tech company focused on impact. We are headquartered in New York City. We’re a minority, woman-owned, LGBTE, and service-disabled veteran-owned small business. So, diversity and inclusion aren’t a trendy byline for us. Each person we hire is celebrated for their unique background, experience, and talent. We welcome you.

We create digital experiences for federal agencies that are user-centered, inclusive, and accessible. Picture this: A loved one is trying to access information on a government website, but in the process, they experience frustrating navigational challenges. Or perhaps a relative who’s seeking citizenship can’t understand the application process due to a language barrier. At Friends From The City, we work to eliminate obstacles like these. Our approach to human-centered design and software development is pretty straightforward. We apply user research to the design and development of functional platforms using clean code and intuitive design, and then we make those platforms accessible to all.
