About The Role
As the UX Project Lead, you’ll provide leadership in user experience and design strategy for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid digital products.
What You’ll Achieve
- Lead and manage the UX design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality user-centered designs that align with stakeholder goals and user needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and designers, to define and prioritize project requirements, scope, and timelines
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications, to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions to stakeholders
- Drive the creation of user personas, journey maps, and other UX artifacts to enhance the understanding of user behaviors, motivations, and goals
- Establish and enforce UX design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across products and platforms
- Lead and facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions to foster collaboration and generate innovative design ideas
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior UX designers, fostering their growth and development within the team
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools, and proactively apply new knowledge and techniques to enhance the overall UX design process
Skills You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree + 7 years of experience
- Proven experience as a User Experience Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and a deep understanding of the end-to-end UX design process
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing UX design projects, overseeing the work of a team, and coordinating with various stakeholders
- Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design
- Familiarity with user research techniques, such as usability testing, user interviews, and surveys
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences
