Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead PeopleSoft Financial Analyst – Supply Chain / Accounts Payable

In this role, the successful Lead Analyst, is a seasoned FSCM functional analyst/professional providing advanced expertise in a complex professional discipline; mentors less-experienced staff with responsibility for their technical/analytical development. This position serves as the Corporate Systems representative to support Corporate Systems automation as well as the functional and technical expert to support the PeopleSoft Financial and Supply Chain user community. The position will work with developers and corporate business process owners to collect user requirements and translate them into well engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems. This individual is the conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow. They will develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and refine business requests and ad hoc requirements, formulating system solutions to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Identify, analyze, and develop business requirements for proposed projects, including but not limited to, data and process flows, application design, and specifications. •
  • Translate customer’s needs into business requirement documents that can be presented to business customers, development teams, and third-party vendors. •
  • Consider the impact to current and future business environments and processes, assessing upstream & downstream effect of system and reporting changes.
  • Review and provide input on IT functional specification doc related to assigned PeopleSoft Finance projects/Enhancements.
  • Function as a liaison between IT departments and business to ensure effective delivery of system changes.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and support the activities of cross-functional groups and others involved in the user acceptance testing phase of the project life-cycle.
  • Develop user acceptance test plans associated with a variety of projects. The plans should include use cases, cross-team coordination requirements, data requirements, scenarios, timing considerations and expected results.
  • Develop and maintain training and support materials used to educate the user community on changes made to business applications and processes.
  • Provide support, including researching and resolving production issues following Job Description Printed Date: 12/21/2022 Page 2 of 3 established service levels.
  • Troubleshoot issues by performing data analysis, database level SQL queries, and researching codes used in applications such as Application Engine, SQR, and PeopleCode.
  • Analyze, diagnose, define action and recommend, or as appropriate, work with Oracle and PS Admin teams to implement bug fixes and/or configuration changes.
  • Strong SQL skills and data analysis skills
  • Support Release Management and Change Control processes along with other Organization’s Compliance Initiatives.
  • Develop PeopleSoft queries from applications for operations or management users.
  • Provide guidance or technical supervision to less experienced staff performing similar functions.

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

  • 12 years experience and working knowledge of PeopleSoft Supply Chain and Finance modules
  • 10 years experience in process or systems work; functional and technical work experience preferably in Health Care domain
  • Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft Purchasing, eProcurement, PO, Inventory, Mobile Inventory, Strategic
  • Sourcing, eSupplier modules functional areas.
  • Able to guide functional/business analysts and developers to provide accurate IT solutions to Supply Chain business.
  • Clear knowledge and well demonstrated experience in:
  • – PeopleSoft Item Master, Item Catalogs, Express Catalogs and impacts on purchasing and inventory.
  • – Component interface, item loads and automation on items updates – GHX, Hosted catalogs, cXML and EDI transactions
  • Experience in completing functional requirements tasks, developing functional/technical specification documents.
  • Expected to specialize in a technology/domain/functional competency area.
  • Able to work independently on defining solution for a mid-size, complex projects or contribute to the solution of a program
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
  • Strong experience in systems design, testing, deployment and support of PeopleSoft FSCM application.
  • Understanding of the tables and data structure used by PeopleSoft modules as well as experience in PeopleSoft Query and other user reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting ERP financial modules in a production environment
  • Strong Understanding of batch processes
  • Health Care knowledge/experience is a plus.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $88,524.96 – $114,769.59 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
