Program Manager – Asset Protection Division

The program manager is in overall, end-to-end charge of the program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery through cross-functional teams. The position involves coordinating multiple projects, resource management, stakeholder and sponsor communications, reporting, and program financial management, along with tracking and communicating business value.

More specifically, the duties of the position are to:

    • Leads the development of the overall approach for the program, its major time frames and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes.
    • Partners with the executive sponsor to communicate program goals, objectives and potential outcomes.
    • Coordinates how multiple projects come together to achieve fulfillment of larger organizational goals
    • Monitors the activities between multiple projects without directly managing them
    • Documenting and validating the program scope and its key requirements from cross-functional sponsors and stakeholders.
    • Leads regular interactions with the executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
    • Managing the budget, resourcing, work plans and stakeholder communication for programs.
    • Monitoring programs on their progress and potential risks and implementing appropriate mitigation plans.
    • Providing program level reporting to sponsors and relevant stakeholders.

    • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the program objectives, inspire, and motivate people, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
    • Able to build consensus among diverse groups of stakeholders – highly skilled at negotiating and facilitating resolution across functions and departments
    • A high degree of situational sensitivity, astuteness, and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to achieve program success and overcome obstacles.
    • A high-level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ensures alignment of projects to each other and to larger strategy
    • Strong business acumen, including industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units including familiarity with industry trends and innovation.
    • Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
    • Able to build strong working relationships with leaders at multiple levels across the company

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years leading projects or initiatives cross-functionally
    • 3+ years’ experience operating with Agile project management principles and models from a business perspective
    • Strong customer orientation, curiosity, willingness to learn, and an outside-in thinker
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Demonstrated ability to make and carry out difficult decisions
    • Strong business communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in leading cross-functional teams without positional authority
    • Experience leading teams productively through periods of significant change
    • Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically

$80,000 – $125,000 a year

Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $80,000 to $125,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.

This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
