Summary: L’Oréal is in search of a business expert and data driven decision maker to lead our business sell-out and insights tool. Today, L’Oréal’s Sellout Accelerator product is business insights tool. The objective of the L’Oréal Sellout Accelerator is to support the business to offer one source of truth, and provide leaders in the organization fast access to performance information. Operating under an agile model, your role as Product Owner will be to leverage your business, commercial to lead a group of stakeholders and continue to evolve the scope and capabilities of the L’Oréal Sellout Accelerator product. The ideal candidate has CPG experience managing a commercial business or leading enterprise analytics & strategy for large organization with multiple business models. We are looking for a talent who has a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed across the business. This role requires excellent cross-functional relationship management and the ability to understand and prioritize multiple business questions and use cases at a time, defining requirements and leading the product team to build the solution. This is also a highly visible role to senior levels of the organization and will require strong presentation and communication skills.
Product Owner Responsibilities:
- Leads the strategic roadmap for the Sellout Accelerator tool, prioritizing features based on business needs across all brands.
- Gathers and synthesizes business needs and aligns requirements to establish a common vision of the product across internal/external stakeholders, business units, brands and senior leadership.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders on product evolution, adoption of capabilities and prioritization of releases
- Translate Product vision into list of Stories to compile backlog and set of features for Product Team delivery
- Actively owns and prioritizes the scope making real-time adjustments as necessary to identify quick win milestones and continuous improvement objectives
- Ability to partner with internal and external groups to drive and to measure user adoption of these best in class tools
- Owns the success criteria, measurement and reporting to all stakeholders and senior leadership on success of the product.
- Contributes to change management, education and thought leadership around the product within multiple business groups
- Evangelize platform and build engagement among brands and cross-functional stakeholders to define key current and desired use cases
- Collaborate with IT and business resources to build and adapt features which will increase usability and measurable business impact
- Oversee product budget, forecast and gain approval for intermediary projects required to execute primary roadmap vision.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive experience managing high volume business-to-consumer commercial execution and or analytics & strategy management or retail product management for the same.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge or interest in the beauty industry a plus
- Strong CPG/Retail background and thorough understanding of how to answer business questions/challenges through data with clear sense of the value added.
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication/presentation skills; ability to influence at the most senior levels
- Strong bias for action and seeing things through to completion and business application.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a rigorous timeline.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Passion for fast moving transformation roles; passion for making concrete business impacts
- Demonstrated experience with running complex projects across a matrixed organization
- Budget management, project management, vendor management
- Ability to execute in the short term while looking around corners to design for the future.
What You Will Do:

Main Job duties are:
- Drive L’Oréal USA Use Case Road Map, working closely with the Head of Data Program
- Help foster the data culture at L’Oréal USA
- Collect and qualify business needs based on value creation
- Work with Head of Data Program to Prioritize use cases and ensure readiness from a data and tech perspective
- Liaise with Data Governance to accelerate Use Cases implementation at BU level
- Maintain analytics product catalog to ensure scalability and reduce redundancy
- Work with Product owners to ensure the delivery of prioritized use cases
- Be a key activator of data literacy and ways of working

- You may not be an expert with all requirements listed below, however, you must show great curiosity in understanding the non-mastered technologies such as SQL or GCP
