SPECIAL NOTES:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Preference will be given for a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Additional requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience as an ADABAS Database Analyst
- Five (5) years of experience with Natural.
This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check (CJIS), including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of hierarchical database systems: ADABAS.
- Ability to communicate with vendors to solve database related problems.
- Ability to assist in the design of database systems.
- Ability to work with others to complete a task.
- Ability to document problems, solutions, and enhancements.
- Ability to generate JCL
- Knowledge of Natural, REXX and ADABAS utilities
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Process Help desk tickets related to databases and applications; create, refresh, and recover databases; support installations and configurations of third-party software; maintain databases and support development staff.
