Project Controls Associate – ARB Underground

ARB Underground is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Controls Associate to join our team. The Project Controls Associate at ARB Underground plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of projects. This position involves reviewing, validating, creating, and processing labor and equipment timesheets on a weekly basis. The associate will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of documentation from the field and organizing it into job folders. Additionally, they will provide weekly cost updates for projects, assist in change order pricing and assembly, and handle job information submittal sheets for new projects. The associate will issue purchase order documents, request quotes from vendors, track and forecast 3rd party commitments, and process invoices. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in project management software. The Project Controls Associate will work closely with the Project Manager and contribute to the overall success of the projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review, validate, create, and process labor and equipment timesheets on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that all documentation from the field is accurate, complete, and saved into job folders.
  • Provide weekly cost updates for all projects to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Assist the Project Manager with change order pricing and assembly.
  • Prepare and file job information submittal sheets for new projects.
  • Issue purchase order documents to vendors and subcontractors as needed.
  • Request 3rd party quotes from vendors to support project planning and cost estimation.
  • Track and forecast 3rd party commitments to ensure project schedules and budgets are met.
  • Process 3rd party invoices and accurately identify them for Project Manager approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in project controls or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with construction industry practices and terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay Range: $35.00-$40.00/hour, depending on experience
