Accounts Receivable Associate

$16.33-$19.44 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this job is to ensure the accurate and timely billing and receipt of payment from third parties. This person will be preparing, sending and inputting invoices, preparing past due reports, verifying payment of invoices, pulling ad contracts, and contacting accounts that are past due.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Delivers excellent customer service while acting as a point of contact at Harmons’ Support Office
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Answers telephone calls from the stores and vendors regarding invoicing and payment
• Pulls and verifies ad contracts
• Prepares past due reports
• Contacts third parties regarding past due accounts and other issues
• Prints invoices and matches to contracts, scanning information, etc.
• Sends invoices to third parties or to Accounts Payable as needed
• Verifies payment of invoices
• Keeps separate billings for special events
• Communicates openly, effectively and frequently with the Controller, Store Directors, department managers and vendors
• Assists in other areas as needed to ensure the success of the company as a whole

• Consistent and daily interaction with third party vendors

A high school diploma or GED is preferred; 2 year college degree in accounting or finance preferred; accounts receivable experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Proficient organization and planning skills
• Proficient 10-key skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency and maintain focus
• A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, email and the internet
• Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with diverse groups of people
• Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures
• Must possess integrity, confidentiality, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively
• Capacity to problem solve and use good judgment
• Ability to utilize computer systems and standard office equipment

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable office environment.
