What will you be doing in your role?
- You perform comprehensive assessments on clients according to established standards.
- You assess to determine the barriers to self-sufficiency and case management needs such as personal and family adjustments, finances, food, clothing, housing, and health.
- You develop and implement an individualized service plan with the client to address identified needs within the established time frame.
- You monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust service plan and/or delivery as necessary.
- You empower the client towards cultural acquisition and comprehension of the new community through an understanding of self, personal situation, and the client’s responsibility for adjusting to new life in the local community.
- You complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements, licensing requirements, and agency quality assurance standards.
- You secure supplementary information related to client barrier removal in the case file, such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to the client’s situation.
- You will transport clients to and from necessary appointments as needed.
- You advocate for clients with service providers or agencies and in the community.
- You meet your commitments and effectively manage your administrative duties.

Are you the next Social Adjustment Services Case Manager- Texas Office of Refugees?
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field and one-year experience in social services or a combination of education and experience.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of computers, including Excel, Word, and MS Office.
- Familiarity with refugee populations and their needs.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish Preferred.
- Must be willing to transport clients in his/her car.
