Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Task Manager with a background as a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to join our team in East Windsor, NJ.

This is a full-time position for a dynamic, social individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting. In this role, you will work alongside project managers and assist with environmental investigation, remediation, permitting, reporting, and oversight of field and office tasks. You will direct the day-to-day activities of junior-level staff; schedule and coordinate task resources (including subcontractors, vendors, and technical staff), and solicit guidance from senior-level technical staff and project managers.

Role accountabilities:

  • Evaluate data to (1) support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, (2) delineate the nature and extent of contamination, and (3) modify and optimize post-remedy long-term-monitoring programs.
  • Lead the development of State and USEPA equivalent Site and Remedial Investigation Workplans and Investigations, Reports, Memos, Summaries, and Task Specific Reports (e.g. periodic and quarterly reports, updates, and summary), this includes the coordination of teams for tables and figure generation, data management, work plans, and/or other required supporting documents
  • Address client and regulatory comments on deliverables and drive the strategy in achieving comment resolution (with PM)
  • Cost Estimating: prepare costs estimates to support establishing project budgets and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
  • Prepare subcontracts (Federal and/or civilian) and coordinate all aspects of subcontractor tasks including schedule, logistics, health, and safety.
  • This position is not a field-based position. You may visit project sites for client meetings, planning purposes, logistics, safety audits, or to oversee project implementation but the time, depending on project staffing needs, is predominantly remote/office based.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline/field
  • Possess minimum of 3-years of relevant post-graduate, non-academic, technical, or professional experience in consulting, engineering, or related scientific field or be able to demonstrate through post-secondary education
  • Exhibit/Demonstrate a Health and Safety focus, and ability to work successfully in both individual and team settings. Excellent (above Average) Verbal, Written and Technical Writing
  • Possess 40-hour HAZWOPER/8 Hour Refresher
  • Documented environmental media sampling experience (e.g. soil water, air)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with either Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or consulting.
  • Exhibit ownership of delegated tasks, including responsibility for coordination and delivery of on-schedule and on-budget tasks
  • Exhibit or Possess experience in financial project management, Oracle, or similar programs
  • OSHA Site Supervisor, 5-Year SSHO, NJDOT/IATA and RCRA training

The salary range for this position is $70380.00 – $105570.00
