Apprentice Electrician, Lathrop CA

The Role
The Facilities Apprentice Electrician will be part of the Facilities Construction team and report to the Construction Sr. Project Manager providing electrical support throughout the Lathrop and Livermore campuses. Sites include production facilities and warehouse operations. Apprentice Electrician will be working alongside a journeyman electrician.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, trouble shoot, repair, and install electrical equipment and systems at a TESLA facility utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Work as a team with the entire Facilities Operations department, the Electrical Technician performs general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned
  • Work on projects throughout the entire facility running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices, using lifts and ladders
  • Perform equipment repairs and similar duties, often independently with no oversight or direction
  • Interpret and use complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and building plans to troubleshoot and correct problems
  • Display positive attitude and practice good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of the company
  • Provide excellent customer service; maintain a high level of professionalism under stress
  • Complete tasks in timely manner and provide feedback

Requirements

  • Must have current California State Electrical Training (ET) Card
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience as an Industrial or Commercial Licensed Electrician
  • Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter and testing equipment preferred
  • Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits and use of NEC Code Book preferred
  • Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC preferred
  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics preferred
  • Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modification preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to identify electrical hazards and proper safety procedures preferred
  • Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. high preferred
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

      $22.00 – $58.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
