We are seeking a Marketing Events intern who will focus on event management and logistics to support our Marketing team in the planning, production, and execution of multiple events and conferences each week and month. The position is part of a busy team that manages and produces over 100 events per year, including national conferences, state and local tradeshows, and LINQ-hosted special events and client meetings. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, excels at multi-tasking, and enjoys working on multiple, different projects. The Marketing Events intern will report to and work closely with the Marketing Events team and our VP of Growth Marketing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Assist the Events team in pre-event logistics and event execution for local, state, and national conferences across the country

Manage inventory and quality control of booth assets shipping in and out of LINQ’s Wilmington, NC office

Support Events team in planning and logistics leveraging project management software, Asana

Assist in creating event playbooks and internal communications for staff attendees

Build social media posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook to promote LINQ presence at events and create additional awareness

Participate in weekly team meetings

Assist in collaborating with Marketing and Design team to create event-specific graphics and handouts

Opportunity to assist LINQ Marketing team in other areas of demand generation and marketing

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be located in Wilmington, NC or within driving distance

Excellent communication skills

Strong project management and multi-tasking skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines and timelines

Self-starter with a positive attitude and outlook to learn from the ground up

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Strong attention to detail

Experience with event planning ideal

Experience with project management tools a plus

This is a paid internship working 20-30 hours/week with a flexible schedule. We are seeking a 4-6 month or more commitment.

This internship is a non-exempt position, paid $10-$14/hour depending on experience. Must be at least 18 years old and located within the Wilmington, NC area. Marketing Events intern will be employed by our third-party payroll agency, paid weekly, with taxes withheld.

$10 – $14 an hour
