Analyst-IT Technical

Overview:

The IT Technical Analyst provides well demonstrated expertise in the areas of Change Management, Development and Operations (DevOps), Patching and Upgrades of assigned applications. This includes but not limited to conducting research on best practices in change management, working with IT managers and other teams to prioritize changes, getting the changes approved, and coordinating releases with the other change owners to minimize conflicts, impact, and downtime. Planning and coordinating IT upgrades necessary for the Hyperion environment. Monitoring, and negotiating timelines and adapting to changing priorities are a key. Modeling Aramark’s Mission and Values, this role will enhance and maintain the Change, Configuration and Release Management program, mentor, develop, and build effective relationships with leaders throughout the organization. This role reports to the IT Systems Manager, QA & IT Governance.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Configure MicroFocus PPM environments (Prod and Dev) and ensure application is available for change submissions.
  • Design and manage PPM workflows to facilitate code deployments to various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Design and implement change approval workflows and ensure proper access management to code repositories are enforced.
  • Coordinating communication efforts with members of the organization to ensure that they are aware of and understand upcoming changes. Schedule weekly change review (CAB) meetings with stakeholders to review changes prior to production approval.
  • Monitor, audit, and review business use of and adherence to the AUS Change Management Policies through the use of the MicroFocus PPM application used to manage change implementation. Offer corrective measures where process is not followed.
  • Ensure ServiceNow incidents relating to assigned application areas are resolved in a timely manner confirming to Service Level Agreements set.
  • Provide Change Management policy and procedures training to newly onboarded partners and Self Develop where opportunities arise.
  • Developing training programs to prepare employees for change, communicating new policies and procedures, and motivating employees to embrace change

  • Reviewing change requests to identify areas of potential conflict or problems that may arise during a change effort.
  • Administer Azure DevOps Server environment and ensuring team projects access always.
  • Creation and support of team projects that support development teams needs and administering security of code repositories.

  • Assist in enrichment and enhancement of company’s change approaches and methodology, based on current past working results.
  • Offer timely and insightful suggestions on team operating efficiencies and approaches that offer optimal outcomes to the team and business users

  • Supporting internal communications related to business improvements and processes, system upgrades, and enhancements
  • Build and sustain working relationships with all AUS functional areas
  • Overseeing appropriate vendor relationships related to associated technologies, services, and solutions needed to operate enterprise functions

  • Ensuring accurate and efficient governance policy development and adherence
  • Report on statuses when requested
  • Maintain good standing and completion on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.)
  • Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong hand-on experience conducting application and infrastructural change reviews, ensuring all change requirements are met prior to approving a change request
  • Ability to design and implement appropriate change management process while following industry best practices.
  • Skilled in application change migrations from development to test and production environments.
  • Assist in enrichment and enhancement of company’s change approaches and methodology, based on current past working results.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Azure DevOps 2019 Server on-premises or higher with ability to install and administer the environment.
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, SQL querying, HTML, Linux Shell, PowerShell.
  • Experience with Git version control system.
  • Worked with Release Management utilities such as Kubernetes, Docker, Maven.
  • Proficient and versed in creating and configuring CI/CD code deployment pipelines.
  • Skilled and proficient in MS Office O365 suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Communications Tools, etc.).
  • Experience setting up and maintaining both Windows and Linux build agents.
  • Ability to operate with a customer-centric service approach.
  • Ability to establish performance-based relationships with 3rd party vendors and technology providers and versed in setting standards and measurements for IT processes.
  • Ability to effectively define a business case, determine return on investment, and measure achievement of the case over time.
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages of development and completion.
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among teams.

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-AUS location (remote work).

  • Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization’s requirement for 24/7 production support.
  • Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field preferred

  • 4+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience Information Technology, coordinating Change Management and code deployment via MicroFocus PPM tool or similar.
  • Preferred programming experience in Python, SQL, Java, and Linux Shell scripting.
  • Experience with DevOps utilities such as Maven, Docker & Container, Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Able to recommend and implement changes to applications and processes to meet business requirements or to make them more efficient.

  • Experience with the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Be legally able to work in the United States: U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident.

License Requirements/Certifications:

  • Valid U.S. drivers license (for rental cars when applicable).

Compensation: The salary rate for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
