Contracted Student Intern Northeast Area Office

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking to hire a student intern who will support the Northeast Area Office Housing Specialist with affordable housing inventory tracking.

The intern will work with the Area Housing Specialist and local site offices to develop an accurate database of DMH FCF residents by contacting the FCF supported properties. This will help the Northeast Area to identify developments that may be out of compliance with their FCF loan agreements and allow DMH to work with these properties and the Community Economic Development Assistance Corp. (CEDAC) to rectify any compliance issues. As a result, DMH will have an accurate and up-to-date database to work from and would likely regain affordable housing units for our clients, many of which have valuable project-based subsidies .

This internship opportunity is for an undergraduate student who must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited College or University.

Preferred Qualifications

Undergraduate college student interested in social work, public policy, or other relevant field of interest.

Period of Service:

May 30, 2023 (or available start date) through September 01, 2023

Additional Information:

Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.

All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.

The salary for this position is $17 an hour.

Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
