The Role
As a Color, Material, and Finish Technical Program Manager supporting Industrialization, you will be responsible for the effective organization and communication necessary to drive CMF activities and their delivery for all programs to support achieving company objectives. You will act as the primary liaison to bridge Design and Engineering through close collaboration and interaction amongst cross functional teams to ensure that CMF requirements, updates, and changes are documented, clearly communicated and met on time in an efficient and detailed manner.
Success as a CMF Technical Program Manager at Tesla requires a self-starter with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships through exceptional communication and proficient collaboration. You have superior organization skills that allow you to manage multiple tasks and accurately document, track and release CMF information per program definition meeting aggressive timelines. You hold high standards for quality and attention to detail, thrive in a team environment and are comfortable managing ambiguity while operating in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Document the CMF definition and content for vehicle programs in close coordination with the CMF Design Team and other internal teams.
- Follow program information from a CMF perspective and manage timelines as they relate to CMF deliverables including updates/changes and escalate high-risk items.
- Manage program milestones to ensure AAR and Mastering are delivered and meet Program objectives.
- Collaborate closely with key cross-functional teams, including Program, Engineering, Purchasing, Design Quality and CMF Design to ensure that design intent is met against aggressive program timelines.
- Gather and track supplier material and status information to communicate cross functionally in order to make key decisions to support program checkpoints and deadlines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to assist with the successful implementation of materials into production.
- Ensure effective communication of updates and changes to the plan of record to all key stakeholders.
- Assist with the organization, communication and presentation of CMF as it relates to postproduction updates and changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in proven professional experience) in Business, Engineering, Design Quality, Color and Materials, Product Development, Design Development or other related field
- 3+ years of relevant Project/Program Manager or Coordination experience
- Automotive, manufacturing or related field experience is desired
- Exceptional communication and organization skills are a must
- Excellent at creating and maintaining both external suppliers and internal cross-functional working relationships
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, Project Management tools, and some knowledge of 3DExperince (3DX) is preferred
- Must be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to change and work independently with ability to manage multiple parallel-path projects with maintaining attention to detail
- Technical and/or working knowledge of automotive mass production, manufacturing processes, and materials development is preferred

$79,800 – $273,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
