Position: Manager I, Business Analytics and Insights
Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Define and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Walmart Drop Ship Vendor (DSV) Team to drive continual improvement in DSV performance and operations. Provide seamless reporting via multiple Power BI dashboards. Provide impactful analytical support to the team by bringing visibility to data that will help narrow down pain points. Create funnel view metrics from order creation time to order delivery time. Analyze and identify areas of opportunities at various parts of the process cycle. Provide analytical support by using SQL to pull the data and analyzing the data using Python. Identify unmet analytical needs and propose viable solutions. Develop dashboards and reports for the internal team and leadership consumption. Provide visibility to various timestamps in the lifecycle of an order (from order creation to delivery). Provide visibility to financial metrics on a daily level and slice this data by Distribution Center, Date, and Division. Provide visibility to QTD, MTD, and WTD financial metrics and weekly trends. Provide directional dashboard for metrics like Units, Net GMV, Orders, and Points of Sale (POS). Identify key forecast trends and anticipate when and how the customer would like their orders delivered and develop call to action. Leverage experience and expertise in tools such as Excel and Power BI to build new tools that tell stories. Partner with the team to develop and design ad hoc reports based on business needs. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or related field and 1 year of experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area; OR 3 years of experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.
Skills required: Experience coding in SQL on the following platforms: Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure SQL. Experience executing Sentiment Analysis using R. Experience using Statistical Techniques: A/B testing, Means, and Proportions. Experience executing data analysis using Python and Excel. Experience creating visualization reports using Tableau. Experience using ETL tools, including Alteryx. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: The annual salary range for this full-time position is $126,277/year to $156,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
