Amazon is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead efforts to drive commercial value and create new business opportunities with our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) services partners with a focus on service excellence throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
This leader will have solid business acumen, be comfortable interfacing with external partners and driving initiatives across various internal teams, have a passion for developing and implementing innovated approaches in a traditional business environment, and be willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver results that will significantly impact Amazon’s last mile delivery capabilities. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead discussions with Amazon’s vehicle OEM partners to ensure Amazon is receiving the highest value from warranty and extended services agreements
• Manage existing contracts and negotiate amended terms to drive tangible value
• Create commercial mechanisms to measure and manage OEM service partners’ performance to ensure Amazon’s Vehicle Operational Readiness Rate targets are achieved
• Negotiate new contracts to enable OEM services to be delivered in-house, handling multiple negotiations simultaneously
• Build strategies and business plans to support Amazon’s fleet as it ages beyond traditional OEM services coverage and as new vehicle technologies are added to the fleet (electric vehicles)
• Set measurable targets that align with the overall goals of the organization
• Work closely the with Asset Management and Fleet Products (AMFP) warranty team to use data to drive decision making and discussions with Amazon’s OEM partners
• Work with other key stakeholders (including vehicle procurement) to understand business requirements in both FPAC and AMFP
• Support the commercial relationship and commercial management of other strategic fleet partnerships (Fleet Management Companies)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
