Job Summary

This position will be a lead in the oversight and governance of the PSE&G benchmarking process while supporting the PSEG, PSE&G and IT scorecard processes as required. The position specifically manages the PSE&G Gas & Electric Peer Panel Benchmarking Study, as well as facilitates other industry and consulting annual studies, including collecting, processing and analyzing data. Additionally, this position is expected to communicate and presents results effectively to the Utility SLT and other teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the benchmarking efforts that support PSEG and PSE&G target setting and goal development.
  • Collects and integrates data from diverse sources and performs analyses to identify metrics, drivers, correlations, performance gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepares reports related to metrics and initiatives.
  • Leads the benchmarking quality review process and process documentation efforts in support of process excellence.
  • Communicates with and develops strong external utility industry-wide relationships.
  • Communicates effectively with executive leadership, process owners and management to support, obtain and act on feedback for all elements of the benchmarking process. Works to develop client care and interaction skills.
  • Develops and maintains Microsoft Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, and Tableau or Power BI data visualization files.
  • Supports the implementation of new tools and technologies using process improvement tools and techniques.
  • The ability to perform difficult analyses using the tools of the department and can take on assignments independently as well as assignments outside of the typical scope of work.
  • Moderate travel is required.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience
  • Without a bachelor’s degree, must have at least 9 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities showing results in support of decision-making
  • Demonstrated strong planning and organizing skills with results-orientation
  • Data visualization software experience with Tableau and Power BI
  • Demonstrated ability to lead assignments and work on multiple projects and multiple teams simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills
