Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring Bricklayers for our operation. The Bricklayer is a member of our Maintenance Department responsible for providing bricklaying and mechanical skills in support of production and plant maintenance needs.
COMPETITIVE wages $22.20 – $25.50/hr (based on experience), benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO and Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, this position is eligible for production and other incentives
Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance on all heat treat equipment
- Installation and repair of refractory materials on all heat treat equipment
- Maintain all equipment necessary for bricklaying operations
- Removal and/or repair of worn materials
- Removal of debris
- Timely reporting of equipment problems and issues
- Perform other department duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
- This position has consistent daily physical demands
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous masonry or construction experience a plus
- Basic math skills required
- Attention to detail
- Must be receptive to occasional shift flexibility and overtime
- No mill experience required – Company paid apprenticeship available
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
Classification: Hourly
