ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Communication systems:
- Installs and maintains all equipment at tower sites as well as the Communications Center.
- Provides support to the IT department by evaluating/programming computer routers and networking systems within the communications center.
- Assists the Avionics department for programming aircraft radios to the proper dispatch frequencies.
Administrative duties:
- Coordinates the licensing process of radio frequencies with the (FCC) Federal Communications Commission.
- Maintains accurate records of communications systems, equipment performance and work accomplished as well as any information as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years of experience as a wireless communication technician.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Vocational technical training in wireless communications systems and electronics.
Skills:
- Knowledge in the use and service of Zetron dispatch consoles.
- Knowledge in Motorola radios, Cisco routers and dispatch voice recorders.
