ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Communication systems:

  • Installs and maintains all equipment at tower sites as well as the Communications Center.
  • Provides support to the IT department by evaluating/programming computer routers and networking systems within the communications center.
  • Assists the Avionics department for programming aircraft radios to the proper dispatch frequencies.

Administrative duties:

  • Coordinates the licensing process of radio frequencies with the (FCC) Federal Communications Commission.
  • Maintains accurate records of communications systems, equipment performance and work accomplished as well as any information as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a wireless communication technician.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Vocational technical training in wireless communications systems and electronics.

Skills:

  • Knowledge in the use and service of Zetron dispatch consoles.
  • Knowledge in Motorola radios, Cisco routers and dispatch voice recorders.

Starting Compensation: $50K-$54K
