We are seeking a Principle, Reputation Management for Amazon Flex, to help identify and implement proactive strategies to build, protect and defend our reputation with internal and external stakeholders. This role will combine strategic reputation management and planning, with an ability to pivot into managing active issue responses. The ideal candidate is someone with strong communications, public affairs, and issues management experience, across a range of corporate reputation and environmental, social and governance topics. This role requires a critical thinker with high judgement and meticulous attention to detail, who can provide strategic counsel, guidance, and leadership at all levels of the business. This person will be a strong program and project manager, who is able to effectively collaborate cross-functionally to improve efficiency and solve problems, which arise in a constantly changing environment.
This role can be located in the Greater Seattle Area or NYC.
Key job responsibilities
Provide proactive and reactive reputation management counsel, acting as trusted advisor to leadership and teams around the world.
Operate with an exceptional level of communication and discipline, being mindful of diverse audiences and channels to convey the most efficient integrated results.
Drive integrated corporate reputation programs, including corporate and crisis communications situations, and across environmental, social and governance topics.
Collaborate across the business to identify new and refine existing reputation imperatives, and how internal/external narratives, messages and stories are driving the business narrative.
In collaboration with partner teams across marketing, communications, PR, ER, policy, and legal, develop and evolve internal/external narratives, messages and tactics to improve sentiment, connecting the dots between day-to-day business activities, and the greater vision of the organization.
Measure and track overall reputation program performance, deep dive on KPIs, and author monthly and quarterly business reviews to surface with cross-organizational leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or Masters
- Strong understanding of current trends in reputation management, and experience leading and executing national and international programs.
- Highly proficient in written and verbal communication, and an ability to maintain composure and quality under constant deadline pressure.
- Proven experience as a trusted advisor counseling senior management across a variety of crisis situations.
- Experience developing and implementing effective ESG communications.
- Ability to think strategically and operationally, delivering day to day while defining and leading future direction.
- Strong sense of brand and editorial voice, with the ability to harmonize messages across multiple channels and marketing and communications vehicles.
- Advance decision-making skills with proven ability to lead influence, align and inspire teams, including those that are not direct reports.
- Team player and leader with the ability to influence, work cross-functionally, build relationships with key stakeholders, and thrive in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment.
- Strong program and project management skills and experience, including owning end-to-end-solutions, and managing multiple stakeholders and projects at once.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Experience working in a challenging, fast-paced and high-performance environment.
- Experience working internationally.
- Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analysis data to make recommendations and drive decisions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
