Naval Fire Safety Analyst
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Naval Fire Safety Analyst who will p rovide support services to Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), located in Norfolk, VA.
Job Description:
- Support services to Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) to include:
- Scheduling, tracking, and monitoring of assigned projects.
- Development of responses to inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Prepare status reports, retrieve, organize and display data in graphs and charts
- Develop and enforce fire safety policies and procedures for the RMC enterprise
- Provide metrics and presentation material preparation for leadership, conferences, and etc.
- Support data call/reports from NAVSEA and Fleet leadership, analyze current and historical ship material condition reports and provide status, trends and recommendations for mitigation.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelors’ Degree with at least 10 years or more experience OR Associates degree and at least 15 years or more experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Must have at least 10 years of experience providing support services to CNRMC or an RMC.
- Must have knowledge of NAVSEA, RMC, TYCOM, PMS organization(s) to include organizational alignment using the JFMM and other DoD and DON policies;, Shipboard fire fighting principles and familiarity with shipboard fire fighting doctrine and manuals.
- Must have knowledge of US Navy maintenance and modernization planning and execution processes.
- Must have knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, theory, regulations, and standards. This knowledge extends to a wide variety of trade and labor occupations, machinery, and environmental conditions sufficient to identify failures in human or equipment performance and to recommend control measures.
- Must have knowledge sufficient to serve as a technical authority in fire safety programs, with the knowledge to make recommendations in the development, interpretation, and application of safety principals that impact the commands fire safety policies and criteria, particularly during maintenance availabilities
- Must have knowledge of industrial work processes, compressed gases, chemicals, flammable and combustible liquids.
- Must have knowledge of Gas Free Engineering principles and practices and procedural guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prefer strong customer relationship building skills.

- Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, MS Project
Security Requirements:
- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance with CAC.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel-up to 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Pay Range: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
