We’re looking for a talented commercial transactions attorney to join our Go-To-Market Legal team! As a member of this team, you will support the Global Channel teams, including advising on the program strategy, drafting and negotiating a variety of partner facing contracts, program policies and related matters.

In this role, You’ll get to:
- Draft, negotiate and advise on a variety of commercial transactions, with a special focus on global channel sales and partner program initiatives
- Partner with our Go-To-Market team, Enterprise Sales team and Global Channel Program teams, as well as our privacy, security, finance and product teams, to drive partner and customer deals to execution and design and support scalable processes for implementation
- Provide pragmatic, business-minded, and creative guidance on the Channel Program and contract-related issues with partners. We’re not looking for academic analysis!
- Provide guidance and trainings to educate and enable our global channel teams on legal issues.
- Assist with special internal projects, including projects focused on improving legal processes.
- Engage and manage external legal counsel, where needed
- Gain in-depth knowledge of Atlassian products and business model, and help manage risks and identify opportunities

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
- JD and admission to at least one state bar
- 5+ years practicing law, with in-house experience preferred but not required
- Ability to handle data privacy topics and understanding of revenue recognition and compliance matters in connection with channel transactions. Some familiarity with anti-corruption and anti-trust laws in the channel context a plus.
- Practical experience and deep understanding of technical transactions and working with technical teams
- Passion to understand our products, customers, culture, and business model
$148,500 – $273,700 a year
Compensation
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $178,500 – $273,700
Zone B: $160,600 – $246,400
Zone C: $148,100 – $227,200
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
