Job Summary

Group Fitness Instructors plan and design effective, efficient, safe, and comprehensive group exercise classes for a diverse population that target all ages and stages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Group Fitness Instructor responsibility include proper group fitness class design, plan and exercise knowledge, teaching/coaching proper exercise form, technique, cueing properly at all times, effective, and safe workouts. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you must have excellent communication, time management skills, maintaining proper alignment, making appropriate music playlists for fitness classes, and ensure and monitor progress with the exercises being taught. Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for keeping a record of hours worked and giving options to our diverse population of all ages and stages. Extensive knowledge in teaching group fitness classes, communication, social media, and teaching virtually is a must.

Required Qualifications

Must possess one (1) year of group fitness experience or a group fitness certification (or equivalent) training from a collegiate fitness program. Must possess a current CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. Please submit proof with your resume and application.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one (1) year of group fitness experience. Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Communication, Nursing or other related fields of study. General exercise and fitness knowledge and involvement. Knowledge in proper form and cueing. Experience in teaching virtually and social media management. Excellent communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills. Leadership capabilities and general customer service and social skills. Capacity to be a punctual, reliable, flexible and adaptable team member.
