This position is assigned to Vandenberg SFB, Calif.

Essential Functions

  • Perform in lead console operator positions during real-time operations and launch support as assigned
  • Develop and revise vehicle specific configuration files for the Centralized Telemetry Processing System in accordance with range safety requirements and operational directives
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of Western Range systems and data flow
  • Ensure compliance with all telemetry criteria for all phases of launch support
  • Provide a coordinated team support posture utilizing telemetry requirements documents, published operational directives and applicable vehicle specifications
  • Perform evaluation and analysis of telemetry data displays and recordings
  • Verify system readiness for operational and launch support
  • Utilize checklists, procedures, technical orders, and other documentation during file development and operational/launch support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve various data flow and telemetry processing issues
  • Review and provide feedback on range support documentation
  • Support efforts for continuous improvement in quality of output for enhancing customer utility
  • Obtain qualification and maintain proficiencies on assigned training packages
  • Train and mentor junior staff and provide support to team/staff members as directed
  • Coordinate with operations and attend/support briefings and meetings where applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical school certificate, related military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years related technical experience or three (3) years performing as a qualified Telemetry System’s Analyst on the LISC contract with demonstrated performance through completed EQRs or applicable work center assessments that are significant to operational support
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
  • Experience in telemetry preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Must be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19 virus, which means two weeks have passed since a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine. Requests for medical or religious accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required

The salary range for this role is $76,970 to $120,485; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
