About the Commercial Install Plumbing Field Manager
The Plumbing Field Manager is a part of our Commercial Install Team and is accountable for the profit/loss, sales, customer & employee relationships, leadership & capabilities development, and operations of the division. Our Plumbing Field Manager forms and develops strong, effective, streamlined processes and systems that consistently assure performance and excellence in service and value. They interact with counterparts to achieve individual division goals, as well as the overall success and profitability of the company. This field manager will also recruit, select, and oversee the performance management of Commercial Install Plumbing employees.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Assist our Commercial Plumbing Estimator with site evaluations and review of estimates.
- Create and present estimates to customers on fast turnaround projects.
- Perform quarterly reviews and monthly check-ins with direct reports.
- Assist and lead monthly department meetings to review performance, company information, updates, and other department-specific items necessary.
- Establish labor needs based on workload and meet with our Talent Acquisition team to determine labor needs.
- Assign labor numbers for jobs and assign employees to jobs on a weekly basis.
- Attends work-in-progress (WIP) financial meetings.
- Coordination of equipment (trailers, lifts, etc).
- Interact and coordinate with our Commercial HVAC and Electrical Install departments.
- Responsible for material procurement through Purchasing.
- Responsible for working with project coordinators in acquiring necessary permits and utility company work orders, coordinating job progress, job billing, and project closeout.

What We Are Asking from You:
- 10-15 years experience in management and installation practices of commercial plumbing systems.
- A technical degree in plumbing is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Experience working on commercial plumbing job sites.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes.
- Experience in estimating and proposal writing.
- General knowledge of material purchasing and price negotiating with vendors.
- Ability to coach employees to their full potential and to identify personnel areas of development and expertise.
- Ability to lead, give direction, provide feedback, and manage people. Comfortability with the hiring and firing of employees.
- Organized and capable of handling multiple tasks at one time, and recognition of the importance of details.
- Ability to continually learn and work through conflict.
- Experience with Microsoft Offices, project management software, and general computer skills.
$70,000 – $90,000 a year
