The Financial Analyst will provide business financial planning, reporting and analysis and deliver month end close with full P&L exposure.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the analysis and communication of actual results, forecasting and budget process
- Work closely with PR, Marketing and Media teams on monthly basis reviewing budget decks to ensure budget management and align on investments
- Liaison with Accounting during month end close, analyzing the P&L and ensuring all entries are posted
- Aid in monitoring, tracking and proactively reporting business performance, identifying issues and profit opportunities
- Facilitate financial models to evaluate productivity, ROI and gross margin in partnership with manager
- Strong partnership with cross functional departments, i.e. Sales and Demand Planning on key initiatives, such as sales growth, improve retailer profitability and demo productivity.
- Responsible for submitting monthly variance commentary and reporting to headquarters with tight deadlines
- Ad Hoc Reporting upon request
Qualifications & Competencies:
- College degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required.
- 2-3+ years of financial experience; preferably in consumer products industry.
- Excellent analytic and computer skills, strong communication ability.
- Knowledge of SAP, Cognos preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making skill
- Comfort in providing appropriate challenge/pushback and feedback
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive and effective business partnerships
- Ability to successfully manage change and deal with ambiguous situations
- Ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast paced, changing environment
- Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
