Arcadis is seeking a Survey Manager to join our Mobility team in Jacksonville, FL

Role description:

In this position, you will have the opportunity to utilize your advanced survey skills and experience working in a collaborative team environment supporting senior level survey and engineering staff.

Role accountabilities:

  • Reports directly to National Survey Leader
  • Performs survey and design related calculations at the direction of National Survey Leader and using the standards established by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the company, group, client, etc.
  • Make sure that all applicable work is in accordance with individual client’s related standards, specifications, and documentation.
  • Resolve right-of-way and parcel information required for FDOT route surveys and databases.
  • Assist other survey staff and find solutions to both complex and simple problems.
  • Perform QA/QC and technical review of survey deliverables.
  • Interprets engineering related documents and digital files.
  • Develops a familiarity with company standards, client expectations, and typical surveying practices.
  • Focus on developing geospatial tasks and procedures and integrating scanning and drone technology into current workflows.
  • Team with business development group to develop new markets and clients with scanning focused deliverables.
  • Actively focus on developing scanning within Arcadis through training and educating existing survey and engineering staff where appropriate
  • Liaise with current drone users to maximize opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • 12 or more years’ experience in Surveying.

Key Attributes and Skills

  • Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective transportation surveying profession.
  • Required knowledge and proficiency of FDOT related software such as MicroStation, InRoads (any knowledge of Open Roads Designer a plus)
  • Required knowledge of FDOT standards
  • Knowledge of GPS, total stations & digital levels a plus
  • Required proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or related field highly desired
  • Professional Land Surveyor license in the state of Florida is desired, or able to be obtained in 1 year or less

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $97600 – $146400.
