We are searching for a dedicated and experienced VP of Operations for a restaurant group in Crested Butte, CO! The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing unit-level and corporate teams, and report directly to the owners of the company. This is a high impact position with the opportunity to help build some amazing concepts in this beautiful resort town!
Essential Responsibilities
- Managing the operations of the organization from the top down
- Building, scaling, and managing the operations of up to 5+ business units over the next five years
- P&L and cost accountability company wide – assuring all teams hit and maintain their budgeted targets
- Drive strategy and adherence to matters of the organization
- Develop and implement strategic plans, standards, policies, and procedures to optimize overall operational performance, drive revenue growth, and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development across the business
- Oversee all hiring and training for the operations leaders in the FOH and BOH
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
- Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and mentor US operations management team.
- Create and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, product knowledge, and service standards, fostering a culture of exceptional guest service.
- Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess performance, areas for improvement, and develop action plans to drive operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes, streamline workflows, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, financial results, and key metrics to the ownership team.
- Spearhead and oversee the opening of new venues
- Stay informed of evolving regulations, laws, licensing requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate operational risks.
- Travel to units locally on a daily basis as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Accounting, or related field – MBA a plus.
- 5 – 10 years experience in high-volume restaurant operations with heavy NRO experience
- 4-6 years in a similar role, responsible for total unit volume in excess of $20MM annually.
- Experience working with independently owned restaurants and bars
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and specifically Excel.
- Knowledge of financial software
- Depth of knowledge with construction projects and design
- Ability to work with different types of people and different management styles.

- Base salary $150,000-$170,000
