ECAD Mentor Xpedition Layout Designer

Contract Position
$52.62/Hour
This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:
- Provide layout design for programs.
- Schematic entry and packaging assistance for engineers may be needed.
- Generate fabrication and assembly drawings using Drawing Editor or from layout required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related specialized area or field or equivalent combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree combined with 3 + years of relevant work experience.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the design and documentation requirements of Printed Circuit boards
- Must be experienced in generating designs for Digital Signal processing, Hi Frequency RF PCB designs, and understand routing principles relating to hi-speed routing and interference design
- Must have multi-layer experience up to 24 layers, be conversant in PCB design and fabrication details, able to troubleshoot design data and configuration problems with outside vendors
- Must be comfortable working in an Integrated Product Team environment
- Must have extensive experience with Mentor Expedition
- Extensive experience in design, drafting and detailing of mechanical fab, electro-mechanical assemblies, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge in all aspects of PWB design, part fabrication and assembly of electronics
- Consistently applies technical knowledge base to solving problems
- Demonstrated knowledge of design documentation standards
- Consistency in concept to design skills
- Solution-oriented approach to analyzing technical problems that affect the design
- Demonstrated problem solving and collaborative skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrates presentation skills
