Independently handles major capital projects for sustainability & growth.
For complex projects, provides management for all groups outside of the total organization.
Participates in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversees its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
Prepares detailed engineering plans, designs, drawings, cost estimates, financial justification and schedules required for engineering and maintenance projects.
Maintains engineering drawings and documentation of all equipment and manufacturing processes.
Determines detailed equipment and services required for engineering projects, prepares requests for bids, evaluates suppliers, prepares appropriate purchase requisitions, and supervises installation of new or modifications to existing facilities.
Explores the potential use of new equipment and manufacturing processes to maintain and improve the company’s competitive position. Drives continuous improvements where possible.
Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to assess benefits and remedies applications to assure justification of expenditures.
Develops and implements tracking methods and procedures for monitoring projects before, during, and after completion. Provides regular progress reports and staff conferences to inform management of the status of each project.
Required Skills & Experience
– Bachelors degree in engineering (B.S.) from four-year college or university, (preferably M/S. in Mechanical Engineering);
– 5-6 years manufacturing engineering experience and/or training.
