We’re looking for someone who wants to help us build brand love through social content initiatives while growing social communities. The Sr. Brand Social & Community Manager will be the brand’s eyes and ears on social and build trusted relationships with clients, analysts, strategists, and creatives to bring Microsoft Brand social channels to life. The person in this role needs to be a self-starter that understands the intricacies of social platforms, brings social-first thinking to the table, and has the ability to capitalize on real-time opportunities and social trends. They will help craft high-level strategies and POVs, manage social editorial calendars, support content planning workflows, develop insights and client recommendations and oversee the day-to-day social content & community management execution.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Manage the day-to-day relationship and communications pertaining to social with Brand clients and stakeholders.
- Curate, manage and own the social editorial content calendars for always on and activations for social media campaigns and events.
- Provide guidance on engagement and participation for our clients and community managers in evolving social media channels, especially TikTok, identifying and evaluating new opportunities as appropriate for client objectives
- Support social copywriting efforts optimized for social Tone of Voice
- Work closely with account and strategy teams to help develop, implement and execute social media strategies
- Develop POVs for emerging platforms and major news update
- Review reactive engagements and daily trending reports prior to sending for clients approval
- Articulate insights gleaned from social reports and trends, artfully organizing information from observations to strategic implications and recommendations
- Anticipate clients’ needs and continuously develop creative ways to improve the client’s social media presence and overall goals.
- Evaluate and optimize community management workflows internally and for clients
- Stay up to date on platform audience behaviors, interactive trends, best practices, and digital experiences with an eye towards social communities and their behaviors
- Supports brief development, with a focus towards social community behaviors, that inspire clients and creative teams alike to come up with idea development and implementation
- Create and document best practices, social playbooks, how-tos for social & community management, including workflows, tools, and responsibilities
- Provide support in the development and execution of client presentations
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at a social or major brand, digital agency, integrated marketing, or communications firm
- Previous social media and community management experience, from managing a client’s social media presence to building a strong social media footprint.
- A passion for communities, social media, and pop culture with a solid grasp of platform best practices and emerging trends from both a branding and cultural perspective
- Detailed-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently with operational excellence
- Proactive and highly motivated; demonstrating the ability and desire to work independently and confidently, but also as part of a team
- Experience in client relations including having the ability to understand and assess a client’s business needs and communication needs and meet those needs through successful digital and social programs.
- You are a storyteller and copywriter and able to amplify a brand’s message through its social channels and beyond.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to stay organized and easily adapt to assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Sprinklr is a plus
- Knowledge of influencers and creators is a plus
- Interest in technology and A.I. preferred
$86,000 – $110,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
