What will you be doing in your role?
- You interview clients through means of comprehensive intake and assessments.
- You determine the barriers to employment and discover the client’s job skills to search for the right employment.
- You will assist clients in removing barriers to employment such as personal and family adjustment, finances, food, clothing, housing, and health.
- You network with employers, build positive relationships within the business community, and provide cultural orientation to employers about refugee populations.
- You help clients identify, expand social networks, and establish relationships with social service providers such as churches and refugee community representatives to aid integration into the community.
- You empower clients towards cultural acquisition and comprehension of the new community through an understanding of self, personal situation, and client’s responsibility for adjusting to new life in the local community.
- You will occasionally drive company/personal vehicles to assist clients in removing any transportation barriers.
- You will assist clients in transportation needs for job interviews and orientations as needed.
- You will support Match Grant In-Kind/Volunteer Specialist to meet In-Kind/Match Grant Program goals.
Are you the newest Match Grant Case Manager?
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with the refugee population and their needs.
- Bilingual skills in a common client language preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance.
- Must be willing to drive a personal vehicle for job purposes.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office.
