Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with in a growing and innovative organization where you can demonstrate your creativity through communications and public relations? We are looking for someone who can push our communication strategy to the next level both internally and externally. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be primarily responsible for effective brand awareness, corporate sponsored events coordination, and internal and external communications.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders on social media strategy; maintain Fortitude Re social media forums (including LinkedIn) and respond to social media queries
  • Manage external website development, content curation/creation, and business development marketing collateral
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on press releases
  • Create external messaging and brand story that supports Company strategy and initiatives and reinforces culture
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and marketing partners
  • Curate and connect external market speaking/panel/keynote opportunities for promoting Fortitude Re talent and franchise
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute impactful internal communications that drive engagement, shape culture, and build a connected employee community
  • Coordinate corporate sponsored events with internal key stakeholders and external event representatives; includes event preparation, marketing materials, onsite event presence, etc.
  • Function as a liaison for Fortitude Re Town Hall meetings; including scheduling, slide deck preparation, and coordinate topic calendar
  • Maintain vendor relationship for promotional swag items; consult with various areas of the business that require swag and set protocol for their direct procurement through selected vendor

What You Will Have:

  • 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations and/or marketing
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills across various presentation formats
  • Experience with web content management tools and social media platform management
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite; specifically in PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and Outlook
  • Experience coordinating and implementing marketing campaigns, brand strategy, and industry events
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience and confidence interacting with all levels across a Company; experience building relationships and working directly with senior business partners
  • Highly organized while flexible and anticipates and adapts to change
  • Solid understanding of the insurance/reinsurance industry

The base salary range for this role is $129,000-156,000 and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package
