Job Overview

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced healthcare leader to oversee program and policy development for the OhioRISE Program. As the OhioRISE Program and Policy Development Section Chief, your responsibilities will include:

  • supervising the OhioRISE Program and Policy Development Team
  • establishing goals and monitoring and evaluating performance of assigned staff
  • developing policies and directing implementation of the OhioRISE Program
  • directing the development of state and federal statues and administrative rules governing OhioRISE, OhioRISE procurement, and contracts
  • monitoring current operations and making policy and operational recommendations for improving member/family and provider experiences
  • managing the approval of OhioRISE-related authorities (1915b, 1915c, SPAs, and pre-prints) with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS)
  • serving as lead in regard to the agency’s communications with CMS’ Medicare and Medicaid Coordination Office
  • coordinating OhioRISE work and resources, including personnel, with managed care and SPBM program and policy work and resources
  • working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across a variety of departments, levels, state agencies, and managed care plans to improve services for OhioRISE members

Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 36 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).

-Or 12 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 2, 65296.
