Job Description
The Regional Global Mobility Manager, Americas is responsible for all international mobility initiatives within the region. The role will act as the ambassador of global mobility in the Region, providing a world-class modern colleague experience for all past, current and future assignees by collaborating with cross-functional business leaders to meet their Talent needs.
This hybrid position is based in New York, NY within our Human Resources Function and reports to our Region Total Rewards Manager, Americas.
Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to*:
- Provides end-to-end world class customer service for past, current, and future assignees, including hands-on administrative support with paperwork, fillings, etc.
- Plans work proactively to anticipate future needs for assignees and works diligently to communicate effectively with them
- Builds and maintains successful, trusting relationships with global and Americas stakeholders
- Ensures Mobility practices continue to align with Company goals to achieve business strategy, employee value proposition, goals, and values; and ensures successful execution
- Executes global and domestic mobility processes and policies for the Americas, ensures meaningful communication to drive equitable treatment for assignee population, and is mindful of the fiduciary responsibility to partner with the business
- Oversees day-to-day immigration, assignment management processes and coordination with oversight on service delivery and client service
- Provides vendor relationship management (immigration, tax, and relocation management companies)
- Ensures compliance of global mobility practices in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards, and other known relevant policies and guidelines; works cross-functionally with corporate tax regarding PE risk
- Provides management oversight of the RMC’s caseload including: cost projection approvals, oversight of immigration support, supplier performance management, exceptions and escalation management
- Monitors key data from relocation, tax, and immigration providers; identifies potential trends and offers cost effective solutions to effectively respond
- Supports organizational effectiveness, and change and project management to improve operational efficiency and talent-mobility workforce planning
- Possesses strong critical thinking skills, performs SWOT for program improvement, influences without authority, and demonstrates cultural agility and strong interpersonal skills to drive best in class customer service delivery
- Provides excellent customer experience to all inbound foreign nationals with on the ground support to compliment RMC counselor’s relocation assistance
- Act as a point of contact and liaison towards the Global Mobility Team in Stockholm, Sweden to mirror the H&M Group way of working with global mobility
- Maintains SharePoint files including tracker and access for mobility stakeholders.
- Supports onboarding of new expats (LTA/GT) and foreign local hires (ILEs) and liaises with HR and payroll for system and full onboarding experience
Qualifications
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Academic Degree in HR, Business, Finance, or relevant business field strongly preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mobility role or transferrable skills
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
- Previous experience with Global Mobility in the retail industry preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide top tier client service with a high degree of empathy
- Flexibility to balance strategic oversight while also being more hands-on
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to take own initiative and work independently
- CRM and Vendor management skills
- Knowledgeable regarding global immigration and understanding of tax requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Comfortable working with C-Suite executives
- Ability to be neutral and confidential and deal with sensitive information. A high level of confidentiality is required
- Strong knowledge of general HR practices, policies, and guidelines
- Strong customer service orientation including a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor
- Strong professional maturity
- Detail oriented and high attention to deal
- Takes own initiative by proposing new routines and seeking proactive solutions to problems
- Manages conflict resolution

Compensation:
Hiring Range is $125,822 – $144,699 annually**
