Position Summary:
The Call Center Associate will join our Bronx-Based call center team in order to support the operations of our various health centers. The incumbent must work effectively in a fast paced and service-driven team. We are seeking customer service professionals with a passion for community based health care.
Please note that at this time this is a fully remote (work-from-home) opportunity. Candidates must have availability to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-7:00pm and Sundays 9:00am – 1:00pm based on a 40 hour work week.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Previous experience using an Electronic Health Record, preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency is a must.
Key Duties:
- Answers high volume telephone calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages according to the organization communication standards.
- Responds to and resolves patient requests/concerns.
- Refers clinical questions to medical providers.
- Ensures confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
- Update existing patient demographic information.
- Confirms insurance when necessary.
- Completes rescheduling, canceling, and/or verifying patient’s appointments as needed.
- Exhibits “WE CARE” performance standards in accordance to Urban Health Plan’s Operating Credo.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $16.50 per hour; Maximum $16.50 per hour
